A STUDY ON PHOSPHATASE IN IMPULSE CONDUCTING SYSTEM OF CANINE HEART

Abstract
|
|
|
Auther has carried histological and histo-chemical studies on the impulse conducting system of the heart of the dog.
The results are summarized as follow:
(1) Specific muscle fibers were observed by hitological method which showed strong positive acid phosphatase reaction and marked defference from proper muscle fibers.
(2) Alkaline phosphatase was negative in both tissues.
(3) In the ganglion cells of the A-V bundle, acid phosphatase was strongly positive but alkaline phosphatase was negative.
